Our Story

History of the practices over 37 years

Robin Woodleigh, founder of the Good Health Practice, started practice in 1979 in South London. He worked for Mr Bruggemyer in Herne Hill and in 1982 for Mr Hounsfield in Epsom, relative of the men who invented the CT SCAN and the Trojan car, finally opening his own practice in Mundania Road, Dulwich in 1991. He opened a practice in 1979 in Dames Road, Forest Gate, and left because the cows from Wanstead Flats kept wondering over and eating all of his flowers.

He started work in his hometown of Buckhurst Hill, Essex in June 1982, the day we took back Port Stanley in the Falklands conflict.Robin was brought up in Buckhurst hill going to Lyola Preparatory School then to Forest with which he has never lost connection.

Due to a growing family the whole practice was moved in June 1995 up the road to a much bigger site at number 161 Queens Road, with 5 therapy rooms. This had previously been a health food shop and pre 1956 a Bazar. So we kept the old name and called it The Good Health Practice.

This large Victorian shop has been perfect for the practice and the location brilliant, only two doors down from the library. I must thank all the staff and therapists past and present for all their contribution to have made this practice so wonderful and those also in south london..

We have built up the practice not only to encompass two osteopaths but also professional therapists covering Homeopathy, Chiropody, massage, Sports massage, Hot Stone Therapy, Nutritional Therapy and Allergy testing, Psychotherapy, Acupuncture and Hypnotherapy all under the same roof.

We have helped so many people over the years and have included a number of testimonials.
